Festivals are the most lively, popular expressions of culture. They bring together women and men from many different walks of life and from all generations, and foster interaction and experimentation. By bringing cultural events to populations with little access to them and by daring to introduce new ideas, festival organizers are true pioneers in the dissemination of culture. Their passion, however, isn’t always enough: as both artists and entrepreneurs, they need help and support to create and expand upon their festival concepts. This is one of the missions of the Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation.
The Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation supports the Espoirs de l’Animation, a competition created by the channel Canal J in partnership with the Syndicat des Producteurs de Films d'Animation to nurture animation’s most promising talent, and has offered a €5,000 award to the 4 event’s winner....
