Whether the field is culture, research or sports, Arnaud Lagardère and the Foundation are determined to decompartmentalize practices and behaviours, create bridges between these three areas and become strongly involved in issues that drive the company.
Creativity
The Foundation supports all types of creativity, including literature, music, cinema, visual arts and digital artwork. By assisting young talents, fostering the development of new festivals and giving French artists the opportunity to promote their work abroad, the Foundation is encouraging the sharing of knowledge and sensibility.
Solidarity
The Foundation’s mission also involves making commitments that benefit disadvantaged neighbourhoods, bringing together communities that have little understanding of one another, and being useful to others. Solidarity is a key imperative of the Foundation, which sponsors cultural activities in hospitals and supports non-profit organizations in vulnerable neighbourhoods.
Research
Research poses both a scientific and social challenge, such as transforming information flows into usable knowledge and better adapting content to the needs of users. The Foundation contributes to research efforts by providing support for creativity and demonstrating solidarity with those who have the greatest difficulty in accessing information. At the same time, it tracks and forecasts cultural trends.
